Hi! I'm Crista Ryan, the founder & head trainer at K9 Loyalty Training

 

Over the years, I've devoted a majority of my time volunteering at local shelters, fostering and rescuing animals in horrible conditions. During my husbands enlistment in the Military, our family moved to California in 2013. I began caring for pets of out-of-town military families. It has inspired me to help owners have a better understanding of what their pets need and overall state of mind. I pursued my passion and in 2014 I graduated from Animal Behavior College as a Certified Dog Trainer.

After moving back to the East Coast, I had the privilege to work at a local animal shelter for a year before making the jump to start up my own business in 2016 as a pet sitter, walker & trainer. That is when my journey truly began! I went on to learn how to implement & have success through all forms of communication including slip leads, prong collars, body pressure, marker and e collar training. My goal is to educate owners and simplify their daily routine with proper training to transform their relationship and everyday life.

At K9LT we believe that establishing a healthy relationship & clear boundaries is key to a balanced lifestyle with your dog. We follow permission-based & clear communication techniques designed to give owners the tools they need to overcome challenges in real life environments. We believe it is our job as dog owners to provide appropriate structure and Yes / No understanding so we do not create a gray area of confusion. Our intent is for training to be equally as exciting for you, the owner, as it is for your dog.
